Broadening Health Horizons

The Commissioning Simulator combines dynamic, hands-on learning with sophisticated scenario-building software and predictive modelling. The programme takes participants on a two-day journey that replicates the three-year business cycle of a PCT.

Your team is in the driving seat from day one -- making real decisions, based on realistic scenarios -- but in a totally risk-free environment that gives you and your colleagues the chance to experiment.

The focus of the Commissioning Simulator is on teamwork and interaction. Participants are organised into teams and given a role that is different from their everyday work position. Using the information provided, teams must decide on their objectives and targets, then commission accordingly. Each team has the same resources of management time and budget to commission for services in five distinct areas.
